Ergodic Theory

According to Wikipedia, “A central aspect of ergodic theory is the behavior of a dynamical system when it is allowed to run for a long time”. Wolfram MathWorld describes it as a function often found in statistics that looks at the behavior of a “measurable group” when time and space are quantified and equal.
